Dear Reader,
Whether this is your first or a return visit to Luna Hermosa, New Mexico and the Morente/Garrett families, we welcome you to our favorite fictional town.
When we wrote our first book in The Brothers of Rancho Piñtada series, Sawyer's Special Delivery, we knew two things: first, we wanted to write a family story about people with imperfect lives finding perfect love; and second, that story needed to be placed in a town that was alive with the things that matter to us-community, friends, fun and familiarity.
We hope you've enjoyed the last five stories in the series, Sawyer's Special Delivery (August 2005), The Rancher's Second Chance (July 2007), What Makes A Family? (September 2007), The Cowboy's Lady (July 2008), and The Bridesmaid's Turn (September 2008).
Over the last five stories, new bonds have been forged and a family reunited. But there are still secrets in patriarch Jed Garrett's past yet to be revealed that none of the brothers, or even Jed himself, could have expected.
In Healing the M.D.'s Heart (April 2009), you'll meet Duran Forrester when a crisis brings him to Luna Hermosa. Duran and his twin, Ry Kincaid, grew up apart and neither of them knew about each other nor the family they had in a small New Mexico town. But when his son's life depends on Duran locating his birth parents, he discovers he not only has a twin, but five more brothers and a father who was never told he had two more sons.
Pediatrician Lia Kerrigan becomes Duran's first ally in Luna Hermosa, and she is immediately drawn to the newest member of the Garrett clan. Lia and Duran soon realize they have one thing in common other than their determination to help his son. They've both given up on love. Lia can't help looking down, afraid to fall. Duran is compelled to look back, seeing past failure that makes him wary of risking his heart and his son's happiness.
Only with each other can they find the faith and the courage to once again take a chance on love.
The saga concludes in August 2009 with Seventh Bride, Seventh Brother. Ry Kincaid didn't really want a family reunion with the father and six brothers that until lately he never knew existed. Ry grew up without a family, love or caring, and as far as he's concerned, no one ever wanted him so he doesn't need anyone. He's never let another person close and intends to keep it that way.
Yet, unexpectedly, he meets and connects with one woman whose past has made her as much of an outcast in Luna Hermosa as Ry. Risa Charez, always living in the shadow of the accomplishments of her parents and older sister, haunted by mistakes in her past that she fears can never be redeemed, doesn't believe she's good enough to love or be loved.
She didn't expect love; he never wanted it - until they found each other and love changed their hearts.
We invite you to explore our website, including excerpts from all seven books in The Brothers of Rancho Piñtada series.
We hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as we've enjoyed writing them.
Please drop us a line and let us know what you think. We love hearing from our readers!
